The "Haus Gisela" is located at the beginning of the picturesque mountain village hundsbach (climatic health resort), in the middle of the Black Forest National Park at an altitude of about 700 m; about 5 km away from the popular Black Forest High Road (B 500). Free parking and free Wi-Fi are available on site. Pets are welcome on request (extra charge). For your bicycles we offer a safe and lockable storage space. There is a regular bus transfer to the nearest larger villages Bühl and Forbach. Shops are available outside the village (from 12 km away). Our village is an ideal starting point for excursions to the popular wine region Ortenau, for hiking enthusiasts there are award-winning hiking trails in the immediate vicinity.B such as the West-Weg, the Murg-Leiter and the Baiersbronner Himmelswege available. For art and culture lovers, the proximity to Baden-Baden (25 km) should be mentioned. The nearby Alsace with Strasbourg (50 km), or Europa-Park in Rust (70 km) attract for a day trip. Swimming opportunities are offered by 3 swimming pools in the immediate vicinity and the Schwarzenbach Dam. Winter sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth with cross-country skiing (cross-country ski trails in the garden possible), alpine skiing, snowshoe hiking (in Hundsbach and on the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse), sledding and ice skating on the natural ice rink at Wiedenfelsen.

The lovingly renovated (2020) apartment (75 sqm) in the house Gisela with separate entrance, terrace and garden access, is suitable for a maximum of 2 people with child (max. 5 years). The bedroom is equipped with a large double bed (2 X 2 m) with two separate mattresses, a cot (1.40 X 0.70m), a chest of drawers and a two-door farmhouse wardrobe. The bright living and dining area with the open-plan fitted kitchen invites you to enjoy. A small book collection as well as a game collection with dice and card game, a large puzzle, children's books and toys and painting stuff are available for pastime. A collection of information material about our region is also available. In addition to a dishwasher, a ceramic hob with oven, a microwave and a large refrigerator with freezer compartment, the fully equipped kitchen also offers the basic equipment for the needs of daily life (spice rack with sugar and salt, filter coffee machine including filter paper, kettle, various types of tea, toaster, blender, hand soap, detergent, dishwasher tabs and garbage bags). For your safety, we have installed a grease fire extinguisher in the kitchen area. In our basement a washing machine and a dryer are available on request. An ironing board can also be provided. An iron is available in the apartment. The bright daylight bathroom has a walk-in large wellness shower, a toilet and a large washbasin. A hairdryer, toilet paper, dressing set, liquid soap, hand disinfectant cosmetic wipes and hygiene spray are available. Bed linen and towels are provided during your stay. You have access at all times to the adjacent large terrace in the garden. With a wooden bench, a seating set with table and a parasol, it offers the desire to linger. The view from all windows of the apartment go directly into the garden and to the meadow behind it with idydlish stream course; the Hundsbach. Immediately behind it the forest begins and with a bit of luck you can observe wildlife in the early morning or at dusk. On request and for a fee, the separate new wellness area with infrared cabin (max. 2 people), exercise bike, loungers and walk-in wellness shower including toilet and separate washbasin can be used.
