Villa with 3 bedrooms, wifi and sea view

In this detached villa, approx. 2 km from the picturesque village of Santa Barbara de Nexe, you can enjoy the spaciousness and comfort for a relaxing holiday in undisturbed privacy. The quietly situated accommodation with outdoor pool is only accessible by car. The villa is suitable for long-term tenants and families with children. The house has central heating and this service is free of charge from November to February.

The villa extends over a living area of 150 m2 and offers space for 6 people and, if required, a baby cot can also be set up. The villa has 3 bedrooms, one bedroom has two single beds and the other two are each equipped with a double bed. One bedroom also has a flat screen TV with international programmes. The villa has 2 bathrooms, one bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, WC, washbasin and washing machine. The second bathroom has a WC, washbasin and shower. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and a dishwasher as well as a table with 6 chairs, which invites you to a cosy stay.
The large living room is furnished with a sofa, a large glass table with 4 chairs, a flat-screen TV with satellite TV, WiFi, Netflix and a fireplace. The living room and the bedrooms
have sliding windows and allow access to the pool. The windows have fly screens and it is possible to darken the rooms with shutters. The house has air conditioning and this service is chargeable (optional) The central heating in the house is included in the price in the months of November - February, after that the central heating is chargeable.
Outside there is a pool (10 x 5 m and 2 m deep), a solar shower, sun loungers for 6 people with parasols. You can enjoy the wonderful views of the sea and the city of Faro from the terrace and pool and forget about everyday life for a while. The whole thing is rounded off by a barbecue area with a charcoal barbecue and an additional gas barbecue. On the terrace there is a large table that seats 6 people and a table for 4 people. An external staircase leads to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Faro. The property is completely fenced, has an automatic gate and parking for 3 cars.

Furthermore, there is a flat on the property (T1) 50 m2 which can be used as
an additional holiday flat for 4 people. Ideal for a couple with 2 children. The flat has a bedroom with double bed, a desk with chair (ideal for home office). The adjoining eat-in kitchen with 2 armchairs and a sofa bed for 2 people, has a flat screen TV with international programmes, a dining table for 4 people and is well equipped with a fridge, ceramic hob, oven and microwave. The bathroom has a washbasin, WC and shower. Directly in front of the flat there is a large and shady covered terrace with a view of the sea. The flat is ideal for two families who want to spend a relaxing holiday together
holiday together and still want to enjoy their privacy at the same time. The main house can accommodate 6 people and the flat up to 4 people. The flat is only open by prior arrangement.


The small village of Santa Bárbara de Nexe in the district of Faro with its approx. 4,100 inhabitants (2001) is located in the middle of a garden landscape about 10 km northwest of Faro and only 2 km north of the IP1 motorway. Once you have left Faro and its suburbs behind you, you are immersed in a green and colourful meadow landscape with almond trees, which is still very unspoilt. The noisy tourism of many coastal towns is not at home in this tranquil area.

The village also has another natural advantage: it lies just below a 370 metre high ridge - but still high enough for you to look down on the city of Faro and the Atlantic Ocean. The view to the south across the plain is fantastic, even at night when the lights of Faro shimmer on the horizon. The road through the village is narrow, and the small square in the centre of the village near the post office is regularly overcrowded. It is therefore advisable to stop at the entrance to the village.

The jewel and main attraction of the village is the Igreja Matriz, the Gothic church, which towers over the small village from a slightly elevated position directly on the main road.

The church dates back to the 15th century and contains typical elements of the Manueline style: stone-carved decorations such as ropes, nets and coral on the ceiling and pillars. Beautiful old azulejos can also be seen in the church.
